With over 80 years of experience in traffic regulation systems, LA SEMAFORICA introduces LAGUNA, the evolution of the GALILEO platform.

Built on the well-established GALILEO architecture — already installed in many countries worldwide — LAGUNA maintains its reliability, robustness and performance while introducing a distinctive material innovation.

The housing is manufactured using UV-stabilized recycled polycarbonate derived from Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP), collected in coastal areas at high risk of marine leakage, carefully selected, treated and transformed into high-performance technical raw material.

Every year millions of tons of plastic reach the oceans. The use of OBP material allows plastic waste to be intercepted before entering marine ecosystems and transformed into durable urban infrastructure, without compromising quality, safety or performance.

The complete OBP supply chain certification is currently being finalized, with completion expected by September 2026.

CONSTRUCTION FEATURES

LAGUNA builds upon the proven GALILEO technical architecture, integrating a polymer compound derived from Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP) collected in coastal and marine environments.

The material undergoes:

Collection in coastal areas at risk of marine dispersion
Selection and traceability verification
Cleaning and purification
Controlled recycling and technical compounding

The result is a UV-stabilized polycarbonate suitable for high-performance outdoor infrastructure applications and compliant with European standards.

Quick-release doors with 180° opening, protected locking system for qualified operators, anti-fall visor with 4-point fixing system, and mounting brackets compatible with the most widely used support systems on the market.
